International marks the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with the ‘Small Places Tour’. Inspired by Eleanor Roosevelt’s call for ‘concerted citizen action’ in her famous “small places” speech in 1958, musicians and fans will raise their voices in song and action in venues, cities, towns, communities, neighborhoods and workplaces.

Through hundreds of concerts held around the world, we will draw attention to urgent human rights concerns, recruit thousands of new human rights activists and, hopefully, raise much needed funds for Amnesty campaigns.

The Small Places Tour is Amnesty International's most ambitious global music and human rights project since the Human Rights Now! Tour in 1988, and features over 700 concerts around the globe between September 10th and December 10th (Human Rights Day). 

Gevende is selected for a showcase at Popkomm which is one of the biggest music fairs. Popkomm will take place between the dates 8-11 October 2008 in Berlin. Thousands of musicians submit to take stage during the fair since it is considered as one of the main venues for music industry to discover upcoming talents. Last year almost a thousand participants and fifteen thousand visitors attended Popkomm fair.In addition to exhibitions; panels, and conference about the music sector a music festival is also organized. The play Çirkin İnsan Yavrusu is directed by Maral Ceranoğlu, who is a dancer and a choreographer, and played by Oyun Deposu (Play Store) theatre company. The sound design of the play is made by Gevende. The play is made from the point of view that daily political events cannot find place on the stage. They perform the play by using motional and verbal expressions, and by this way, they have traced effects of socio-political polarizations in daily life in Turkey.

Gevende will perform with Tobias Klein (bass clarinet) and Damien Cluzel (electric guitar) in Babylon performance hall. Gevende & Klein & Cluzel is new multi cultural music project and other performance will be at different countries.

Gevende will perform at Thessaloniki April 16 and Athens april 17 in Greece. The organisation support by Spinalonga Records.

Songs Against Darkness Concerts 3 (31.03 of every year) is regularized by Istanbul Bilgi University Voluteers of Community (BilgiTog) with concerts by Gevende & Replikas. This year's maintheme is "Violence to Women". Getting attention to that problem and to help women who faced violence, by passing on incomes of the concerts; are the aimsof the event 31.03.08 Studio Live 19:00

Gevende plays in Ankara-Nefes Bar for the closing party of "2.Hand Short Film Festival" which includes films that were eliminated for once at least ,at the pre-elimination of any festival.

On 27 Oct '07 Gevende will be on Babylon stage, in 17.Akbank Jazz Festival.

Gevende will perform on the music stage in Kars,one of cities entertained by 13.Festival of European Films On Wheels. Performance  will be on November 13.

Gevende also have a performance in Center&Eastern European Music Festival called Pulse, London on 16 June.

Radar Live Festival presents successful foreign&native examples of alternative music for four days. The place of festival is Solar Beach, Gevende plays on 1st July.
